How did you get to Aero?

I came to Aero right after high school. I went to high school at Kralupy nad Vltavou, and continued with follow-on study at mechanical engineering school at Neratovice. I've been with Aero since 1998, so it's been 18 years already.

What was your first job at Aero, and what's your current position?

I came here as a technologist in the tool technology department; later, I got to lead this department. Currently, I'm the head of the tool building and development workshop. I would put it this way: After a few years, an opportunity came to apply for a vacated position of the head of the tool department in an audition. I’ve been leading both the tool manufacture and development workshop for several years. I have around 60 people under me.

How does your work with us reward you?

I had an opportunity to learn from people who worked at Aero back when the company made 250 planes a year. Then, when I got promoted to a managing position, I gained new experience with leading people. Our team is diverse, with vastly experienced people on one side and a lot of young guys, many of them straight from school, like I once was. What I would really like is to pass along as much experience and knowledge as I can.

What should applicants for jobs at Aero be prepared for?

A very interesting job that's specific for aviation industry and cannot be found anywhere else. And also a very interesting group of people.
